What is the Shed?
The SHED provides an accessible space to transform and repair usable but previously unwanted materials, with a key focus on furniture. The physical woodworking space is a much-needed resource to help execute larger projects that require more specialized equipment and the skill and training needed to use them safely.
Members are invited to participate in a series of workshops/skillshares and informal orientations, increasing their tool literacy and building confidence around repair and upcycling. SHED focuses on material repurposing, and aims to promote continuous learning around sustainability as well as improving personal waste footprints. The SHED aims to enhance its member’s lives by providing a creative outlet that promotes self confidence and community through hands-on skills.
